The Lower Mertoun beat is situated on the Tweed between St Boswells and Kelso.
The beat has fishing from the left bank on three pools and streams. Fishing is available for two rods on a weekly basis, but during some periods lets may be available for three days.
There is access to a fishing hut along a farm track, but a four wheel drive vehicle is advisable.
