Middle Mertoun is situated approximately two miles from St Boswells.
The beat has six pools with fishing from both banks. Fishing is available for let for three rods on a weekly basis, but during some periods lets may be available for three days.
Access to the beat can be by car and there is a fishing hut available for use. A boatman is provided from February to April and then again from September to November.
