Old Melrose offers secluded Middle Tweed Fishing with 1.5 miles of right bank fishing and eight named pools. Nearly all of the beat is fishable, coping well with low water conditions whilst still containing sufficient fishing for high water conditions. The beat is let predominantly on a syndicate basis where rods fish on the same day each week for the majority of the season. There is some Autumn fishing available on a daily basis. The beat has a fully equipped fishing hut with electricity and a toilet.
