Upper Mertoun is situated above and below Mertoun Bridge, approximately one mile from St Boswells.
The beat has six pools that can be fished from both banks. Fishing is available to let for three rods on a weekly basis, but during some periods may be available for three days.
A boatman is provided from February to April and September to November.
