The Tweed Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 series of Ladies Fly Fishing Days on the River Tweed.
These events are designed to cater to women of all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned anglers.
Anne Woodcock, the event organiser, says, “The River Tweed Ladies Days welcome anglers of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned experts. These events celebrate and promote the participation of women in fly fishing, offering a supportive environment for connection and learning.”
Ladies Charity Fishing Days in 2024 raised £2,000 for the Tweed Foundation’s education work, TweedStart, Go Wild for Fish, and Trout in the Classroom. In 2025 the days will continue raising funds for the Tweed Foundation's Education & Fishing initiatives for children.
Time: The days start at 9:00am and finish at 5pm. Lunch and light refreshments are included.
Location: You will be fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Seatrout with assistance from Tweed boatmen/ghillies.
Skill Levels: The days are suitable for complete beginners or those looking to refine their fly fishing skills. There will be female instructors in attendance.
Equipment: Lifevests can be supplied and rods subject to availability, please get in touch. For wader and rod hire we recommend contacting Julie at Fin & Game in Kelso.
Numbers: To ensure the best experience, places are limited on every day. The price for 2025 is £120 per lady per day, which includes lunch.
Mark French, owner of Boathouse and Canny Beat, said, "We would like to extend a warm welcome to all those attending the Ladies Days in aid of the Tweed Foundation's education program TweedStart.”
