Habitat Survey Compressed

Habitat Assessment

The Tweed Foundation’s dedicated habitat officer conducts walk over surveys throughout the Tweed catchment to assess areas for tree planting and ecological restoration in the riparian zone.

Volunteers can be involved with this important work by assisting with plant identification, recording water course features, and removal of invasive non-native species. Skills can also be gained in GIS map making.

If you would like to help with this please get in touch with our volunteer coordinator, Erica, at echapman@tweedfoundation.org.uk
